So, my 5 year old decides to start a conversation: “How did she (her sister) get a booboo on her brain?” Well, I say that she was just born with it. She says, “I feel sorry for her.”
So, I suck it up and proceed to explain how happy she is... That she loves her brother and sister... that they make her so happy... and that we are getting a special dog for her...
Thanks for the diversion!! It worked!

I love stories that show compassion between siblings, especially at such a young age. I bet you'll be surprised at how much your North Star brings to all of your children and not just your Special Needs Angel. In fact, for us, we've all seen the upside of having Charlie here. He just seems to suck all the tension out of the room. We LOVE him for that!
ReplyDeletep.s. just discovered that my link is to your blog is finally working ... much easier to find you now!
Hey Furry Friend, did you see that Wendy the Trainer left a response to your question about agility in the comment section of Charlie's blog?
ReplyDeleteOk, sorry to keep posting on your blog ... I'm thinking we need to start e-mailing. (zalewskica@comcast.net) You might also think about checking out Splash Dogs. I did a post about them on my blog pretty early on (probably in June or July) and it was a great thing to watch. I bet your daughter would get a chuckle out of it. Wendy also has a youtube video of her dog Renegade running an agility course with Wendy during a competition last year. Check it out at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rbEbzJDeVdo
